New Music Monday (a day late): Rayland Baxter's "Yellow Eyes"

I have been holding onto this song since NPR released the new track last week…and then it was all I saw on friends' Facebook and twitter feeds. From Nashville, Rayland Baxter’s folksy americana music is not anything near the country music that is on the radio today (yuck), yet many publications have tried to put him into the country genre box. With beautiful melodies and rich lyrics, the new track “Yellow Eyes” (click link to hear) off his next album, Imaginary Mind will be part of my summer playlist and makes me look forward to warmer days at the beach.
