The Rolling Stones Play Surprise Show for $5

It appears that even one of the biggest rock bands of all time still need a tester concert before going on a multi city stadium tour. The Rolling Stones played a not-so-surprise show to a 1,200 person crowd last night at the Fonda Theater in Los Angels for $5 per ticket. Early reports say they sounded great with Jagger’s voice as strong as ever and guitars and drums crisp and tight. The positive reviews bode well for the up and coming tour. Which....coincidentally...

....I will get to see for myself on May 24th....from a luxury box at Petco Park in San Diego (see how I slipped that in there?). No kidding.

Although never a huge Stones fan, I can appreciate their massive contribution to rock music and their overall appeal. I guarantee I will be singing along to their hits and not waste this opportunity….because who knows how much longer they will keep playing? There are only so many farewell tours left.

Set list included the entire Sticky Fingers album, plus a few others thrown in for good measure.

“Start Me Up”

“When The Whip Comes Down”

“All Down The Line”

“Sway"

“Dead Flowers”

“Wild Horses”

“Sister Morphine”

“You Gotta Move”

“Bitch”

“Can’t You Hear Me Knockin’"

“I Got The Blues”

“Moonlight Mile”

“Brown Sugar”

“Rock Me Baby”

“Jumpin’ Jack Flash”

“Can’t Turn You Loose”
