Dawes New Release: "All Your Favorite Bands"

New Release: All Your Favorite Bands : Dawes

Spotify says you’ll like them if you like: My Morning Jacket, The Avett Brothers, The Head and the Heart, Trampled By Turtles (I don’t get that comparison)

Best Track: “Things Happen” and “Right on Time”

See Live: Yes. Taylor can hit every single note without strain and the harmonies absolutely translate.

Rain or Shine: Both, but I imagine a more overcast or muggy summer day.

Burbon, Beer or Bubbles: Beer

Hanging out or Running playlist: Hanging out

The strength of Dawes hangs on the honest emotion that oozes from Taylor Goldsmith’s voice. And when that voice harmoniously combines with brother and drummer, Griffin, it creates a depth and richness that make the listener want to sway back in forth in a melodic groove.

Recorded live with limited overdubs at the Dave Rawlings owned Woodland Studios in East Nashville (he produced the album too), the new album All Your Favorite Bands makes the perfect addition to the summer playlist.

Creating a sound reminiscent of The Band, stand out individual songs include the first single “Things Happen” and “Right on Time,” but some of the best lyrics come from the song “All Your Favorite Bands.”

I hope that life without a chaperone is what you thought I’d be

I hope your brother’s El Camino runs forever

I hope the world sees the same person that you’ve always been to me

And may all your favorite bands stay together

Fans can still go to their Pledge Music page and get some cool stuff like postcards from the road, book club access and signed original posters (only 2 left).
