Bear’s Den just released a sweet little compilation video from their latest European tour and it is enough to make me really angry I missed them in San Diego in November 2014 (of course, I saw Shovels and Rope in San Francisco that same night, so not a bad trade off). Indie folk in the purest form, this band can give the most cynical person warm fuzzies all the while using minimal acoustic instruments. Recently nominated for an Ivor award in songwriting these guys may not show up on your local radio station but they need to be on your playlist.
With appearances this summer at both Lallapalooza and Bonnaroo (and a few other stops in the US), it will be worth your time to seek them out. Their debut album, Islands, came out on Communion Records in 2014 and the good news is they are just getting started.
